TMA partners with VISTA to increase outbound tourism from Vietnam

Strategic partnership is signed between the tourism marketing, communication and sales company Travel Media Applications and VISTA (Vietnam Society of Travel Agents) aiming at increasing outbound tourism from Vietnam to the rest of the world.

TMA - VISTAWithin this framework Travel Media Applications undertakes international marketing and sales of Vietnam International Travel Market (VITM). VITM is organized by VISTA and is the only outbound tourism exhibition in Vietnam. VITM was organized for the first time in April 2013 with great success bringing together more than 400 exhibitors from Asia and around the world, 2.000 trade visitors from Vietnam and other Asian countries as well as 40.000 consumers. During VITM were sold more than 4.000 domestic travel packages, 2.000 international travel packages and 10.000 air tickets.

In addition, Travel Media Applications will organize a comprehensive training program for VISTA’s members including seminars, presentations of tourism products and destinations as well as fam trips. Thus, the outgoing tour operators of Vietnam will be able to inform their clients about new products.

The cooperation of TMA with VISTA will be supported by TravelDailyNews Media Network which includes TravelDailyNews International, TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific and TravelDailyNews Greece & Cyprus.

Referring to its partnership with TMA, VISTA’s Chairman Mr. Vu The Binh noted that in the last decade outbound tourism from Vietnam has a growth of 20% according to the World Tourism Organisation and both consumers and travel agencies are hungry for information about new destinations and new tourism products tailored to the modern Vietnamese traveler.

The founder of TMA Mr. Theodore Koumelis said that “Vietnam is a new market for outbound tourism attracting the interest of all the western world’s traditional destinations. Vietnamese consumers have already travelled to the Asian destinations. Vietnam is an important incoming tourism market for many of them. The timing is appropriate for Europe, Middle East and other tourist destinations worldwide to showcase their products and to facilitate travelling for Vietnamese. Worth to be mentioned is that Europe and Canada hold the first places in Vietnamese outbound tourism. Our role now is to present international destinations and tourism products to the travel agents of Vietnam aiming at their collaboration with DMCs from Europe and around the world.”
